Tulbagh - The Earthquake

On the 29th September 1969, the quietness of night was shattered at 22h05 by tremendous explosive sounds followed by a gigantic roaring, rumbling noise rolling forward like the waves of a stormy sea. Stupefied people rushed outside over broken glass and fallen plaster. The mountains surrounding Tulbagh resembled a city of lights as falling rocks acted like flints on the tinder-dry vegetation and started fires.

rosette For the past 25 years already Rosette Jordaan operates in the Tulbagh Valley & surroundings as Photographer & Videographer.

She already sold more than 40 000 Postcards of Tulbagh & Ceres. Also did lots of Weddings, Functions, Family Portraits, children... Her latest project was the TULBAGH BOOK (Nathan van Zyl) for which she did the photo's. Together with Heidi, her daughter, they form a formidable team! Heidi, as Graphic Designer, does, except for Photo's, the designs for Print work like Collages, Programs, Cards, etc. Also Video Productions on DVD.
